October 27, 2010 at 7:53 pm #11

Much as I can’t do any better and, accordingthe Rules of the Internet, have no right to have a negative opinion, I have to express extreme dislike for Genzoman’s work. :/ The anatomy is painfully overexagerrated, and gets worse over time (he’s frequently on the front page of dA). Don’t get me wrong one or two less deformed pieces I enjoy but ‘masterpieces of character design’? I expected someone else.

I second Schemilix’s opinion. He’s a good artist but he has some real issues, re-apply your talent bro, the world’s full of CG women falling out of their clothes and men tripping over their own muscles.

The illustrations you’ve made so far are amazing interpretations of the characters! Very well done, and you have my kudos. I’d like to see some of the Greek titans, though. In mythology, they were seen as more powerful than the gods, so I think they should make the board as well.

Like the rest of them, I to really love the pictures on here.
My favourite mythology character would have to be hands down! well i have 3 that i wold love to see, Ishtar “is the Assyrian and Babylonian goddess of fertility, love, and war” Inanna “is the Sumerian goddess of sexual love, fertility, and warfare” and Freyja”is the norse goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, gold, seiðr, war, and death”

as for the picture or picture’s i liked the best.
first it would be Brynhildr the valkyrie ” just love that image” next is Lilith, after that would be Delphi and then Iara, the Sirens ,the Merrow, Amaterasu, Guanyin ,Shajar al-Durr and Morgiana.

Well done including Lilith. I am continually astounded by how many people who have never heard of her. Likewise, Dracula was masterfully done.

The one described as Anubis is not. The context and color indicate it’s Seth instead, God of useful chaos and of the nightly skies.

Argo
January 1, 2012 at 5:00 pm #101

…My bad, the author sought to represent Anubis (for the record, Anubis is, traditionally, red! And furry).

Do one of Jesus Christ. Just please don’t make him look all girly and pretty. He was a carpenter. He worked with wood. Make him look all awesome and like a real B.A. kinda guy that he was.

Maybe even do one of God (Yaweh, Jehova, God of the Bible ya know.) I really liked the one you did of Zuess, and almost thought it was God but then I read the heading again and was like, “oh…” But yeah I dunno how you would do it…but cudos to you man! Your work is awesome, I love all those pictures. I like how you’ve chosen to tackle these characters and put your own artistic spin on them.

The giant muscles and boobs are very off-putting on all of these. This person needs to get back to basics and pull away from the mediocrity…the same body with different hair and eyes over and over again gets boring.

Also, the goal of armor/clothing is to cover the body, not show as much skin as possible.

Your art is some of the most impressive stuff i’ve ever seen, i wonder if you would be interested in doing “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”?

Becca
February 19, 2012 at 11:11 am #120

Your art is extremely impressive im an artist myself ive enjoyed your view of all mythical beings. Ive studied mythology since i was a little girl. I would love to see a few more of every religion. For instance, Demeter, Persephone, Bast, Seth, Loki, Phin, and in general all 14 of the greek gods and goddesses.

Becca
February 19, 2012 at 11:13 am #121

Loxasha, the reason all of these are built so is because theyre in the style of a comic book not realism. Theyre also supposed to be gods they dont need to be covered by human clothing or protected my armors theyre immortal thats all for looks.

I’m sorry but this guy is average at best. He’s very inconsistent with his anatomy. I feel he exaggerates everything to hide his many flaws to the general public… Who don’t have their eyes/mind trained to see it. 90% of the picture is nothing but other pictures copy/pasted, collage anyone? There’s a reason he’s still doing all these small time projects… Diablo2003 is a guy who does this comic style correctly.

If you dig tales in the east around the world, then you will find the characters more heroic …. as inspiration.

Keep working ….!
